What is Cyber Security Awareness?

Cyber Security Awareness is an annual (ISC)² initiative promoting cyber security for the general public (communities, organizations) through educational initiatives spearheaded by our membership. To help support our members in this effort, we created a Web space in which members could offer the public various education/entertainment materials for download.

The History

This initiative was launched three years ago. The first year, it was promoted on the Website as a call to action to our members and few basic materials, such as a poster, were offered to support their efforts.

Two years ago we expanded the initiative to include a space where members could upload and share PDFs, presentations, posters and more for use by fellow members or the general public. To promote the use of this feature, we offered a voting system and a cash prize for those materials that received the highest number of downloads.

This year, our goal is to increase member participation and bring more visitors to our Cyber Exchange.
