For (ISC)² Members.

At (ISC)², we make society safer by improving productivity, efficiency and resilience of information-dependent economies through information security education and certification. One of our top priorities is to raise the security consciousness of users throughout the world!

How, you ask? We're engaged in several awareness initiatives:

(ISC)² Safe and Secure Online Program

Through (ISC)²'s Safe and Secure Online Program, our member volunteers teach children ages 11-14 how to protect themselves online. With support from Childnet International, a UK-based charity that aims to make the Internet a safe place for children, we began Safe and Secure Online in the UK in 2006 to address the gap in security advice that exists in children's safety outreach efforts.

For more information about this program, please visit the Safe & Secure tab.

(ISC)² Cyber Exchange

The (ISC)² Cyber Exchange is a public awareness hub that houses free information security awareness materials donated by our certified members – the pre-eminent information security experts in the world. Anyone can download fun awareness posters, presentations, videos, and more FOR FREE and share them with friends, colleagues, or people in their community to encourage them to protect themselves online. Visit the Awareness Materials tab today and spread the word about security awareness with anyone you know!

Annual Cyber Exchange Contest

Every year, we run the Cyber Exchange Contest, which helps to bring free security awareness materials to end users around the world. In recognition of Cyber Security Awareness Month every October, our certified members donate original cyber security awareness materials, such as posters, flyers and presentations, to the Cyber Exchange. Authors of the most popular downloads receive a cash prize, and anyone can download them for free to share with anyone in their community or workplace who would benefit, including children, colleagues or the elderly.

Global Cyber Security Awareness Month (October)

The National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) in the United States began National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM) in October 2001. This national public awareness campaign was created to encourage everyone to protect their computers and our nation's critical cyber infrastructure. As a global organization, we engage our membership to recognize and celebrate this initiative worldwide. This year's theme is "Our Shared Responsibility", acknowledging that everyone has a role and a stake in cyber security, and we all need to do our part to ensure that we use safe and secure computing practices. For more information about National Cyber Security Awareness Month or to get involved, please visit: http://www.staysafeonline.info/content/about-ncsam.
